Airsal 50 Racing
The 50cc Racing has tighter exhaust timing (≈185 °) and a 1-ring piston.
It's is only conditionally recommended for the original crankshaft - depending on exhaust.
Matching setup:
Stronger 50cc exhaust (TurboKit GP50, Athena Race 50, or similar)
Reinforced crankshaft, clutch springs and a larger carburetor, 13:53 gearing
Airsal 70 Sport
The 70cc sport use a 1-ring piston in the new version.
Timing of the cylinder are low.
To be used on the original crankshaft!
Matching setup:
19-21mm carburetor -> Best PHBG
Every exhaust for the original cylinder is also recommended here!
Airsal 70 Racing
Like the Sport, the 70cc Racing also use a 1-ring piston, but also much higher control times!
The Racing is not suitable for the original crankshaft!
Matching setup:
Airsal 70 Racing (porting)
21mm carburettor -> best a PWK
SCR HM, (or if a heavier 70cc exhaust such as Voca or SCR RL 70)
14:53 gearing
Reinforced crankshaft such as Barikit Competiton with brands bearings!
Reinforced clutch (Polini, Bidalot, MRD)
In addition, a good reed valve would be an advantage! (Stage 6 Viton, for example)
Airsal 80 Sport
The 80cc sport is preferred over the 70 Sport. This kit use a 2-ring piston. (≈185 °)
It brings more torque in the lower speeds than the 70 Sport due to the more volume, but runs just as good at top end.
Suitable for the original crankshaft, lesser with a high-reving exhaust
Matching setup:
21mm carburetor -> best PHBG
50cc sports exhaust like Hebo, Giannelli, TurboKit Chromado, BigOne, Tecnigas Enox, or one of the many other 50cc early performance and thus compatible for the original crankshaft. Some exhaust are early som are late - most will all do fine.
If you install a reinforced crank, then a 70cc Midrace exhaust like the SCR HM could be used.
13/14: 53 gearing.
Airsal 80 Racing
The 80cc Racing use a 1-ring piston, and additionally higher control times than the Sport (≈189 °).
It is not suitable for the original crankshaft!
Matching setup:
Airsal 80 Racing (porting)
21-24mm carburetor -> Best PWK
TurboKit Carrera 80 Exhaust, (if ported a stronger exhaust such as BRK 80 exhaust, Voca, TK GP80)
14:53 gearing
Barikit Competiton with brands bearings!
Reinforced clutch (Polini, Bidalot, MRD)
In addition, a good reed valve would be an advantage (Stage 6 Viton, for example)
Airsal X-treme 88
The 88er Airsal is definitely not for beginners - the red exterior color of the cylinder is striking.
It can only be used in connection with a 45 crankshaft and use a 1-ring piston plus 2-port exhaust.
Matching setup:
88s Airsal
45 stroke crankshaft (Airsal or Barikit)
Long stroke exhaust (BRK R45, Bidalot Upper / Lower, SCR RL85 or similar)
At least one 24mm carburettor, even better a 28mm.
Matching diaphragm and ace
In addition, of course, the engine block should be edited and geflowed.
In conclusion would be to say that the Airsal 88 almost identical to the barikit 88 is down to the modular burning head, so the Barikit is prefered because of the better price performance ratio.
